The spark plugs and coil packs in a DB9 are snugly tucked away under a Spark Plug Cover.   If you’ve had the cover off to perhaps change your Coil Packs and Spark Plugs (as I have been doing as part of dealing with a Lumpy Idle issue), you’ll inevitably need to reinstall the cover.   Doing this isn’t hard, but there are a few tips I will share below to get it done just right. Removing the Spark Plug Covers from an Aston Martin DB9

removing-the-spark-plug-covers-from-an-aston-martin-db9The Spark Plug Covers on a DB9 are used to shield both the Coil Packs and the Spark Plugs inside the valve cover.   All this is situated underneath the intake manifolds, so it’s a bit of a phaff to get to them.   You may need to remove the covers in order to change the Coil Packs or Spark plugs (like I am) or perhaps you are fixing a leaking valve cover gasket or something deeper in the engine.   Either way, it’s a pretty simple process.
